Mr. Roberts holds advanced and instrument ground instructor certificates, an aircraft dispatcher certificate, and is a licensed pilot.

He is a member of the following organizations: National Association of Flight Instructors (NAFI) Society of Aviation and Flight Educators (S.A.F.E.) Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) Seaplane Pilots Association Lifetime Member of the Experimental Aircraft Association.

Mr. Roberts is actively involved with EAA Chapter 770 in Springfield, Illinois and leads the VMC/IMC group for that chapter.

Mr. Roberts is also constructing his own aircraft, a Cozy Mark IV, and is currently planning construction of a second aircraft, an Osprey 2.
